Each month, members of our Student Services Teams host virtual Family Learning Cafes open to all Insight PA families. These short, informative sessions are designed to support and engage our school community around important topics. If you are unable to attend the live sessions but are interested in learning more, recordings will be shared through ParentSquare following each presentation for viewing at your convenience.

FAQs

When do the Family Learning Cafes take place?

Our Family Learning Cafes are hosted on Tuesdays between the hours of 12:00pm – 1:00pm.

How do I join a session?

Each session is hosted through Zoom. Links to join each session are included on our calendar. They are also shared through ParentSquare posts and school wide newsletters.

How are topics selected?

Topics are selected to reflect both the expertise of our Student Services Department and the needs and interests expressed by families. Presenters include Special Education Supervisors and Transition Coordinators, LEAP Specialists, Attendance Specialists, Social Workers/Student Resource Specialists, and English Language Development (ELD) staff. We also use feedback from the annual Parent & Family Needs Assessment to identify the most requested topics, and that input helps us guide planning and ensures sessions are relevant and supportive of family engagement across all areas of student success.

Can I request a topic?

Each year, we ask our Insight PA parents and guardians to complete a Parent & Family Needs Assessment. This survey provides an opportunity for you to indicate the types of sessions you would like us to host in the future. You can also share any ideas/requests you have with Carolyn Myron, who oversees our Family Learning Cafes.
