At Insight PA High School, we’re dedicated to helping our 9th-12th grade students achieve their dreams and set a clear path for their future. Your success is our priority, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. Our high school counselors are here to provide you with the tools and guidance needed to thrive academically and prepare for your post-secondary experience.

Seminar

Our HS students participate in weekly Seminar classes, which allow them a regular opportunity to connect with their counselors and peers outside of their academic classes. During these sessions, our counselors teach valuable social-emotional skills using the HS Character Strong curriculum. They also provide the students with all of the post-secondary planning resources they need to be prepared for life after high school.

Small Group Counseling

We offer small group counseling sessions throughout the school year. These voluntary groups provide a safe space to explore topics like anxiety, depression, self-esteem, social skills, grief, and more. If you believe you could benefit from group counseling or have ideas for additional groups, please contact your counselor for more information.

Individual Counseling

Students in need of one-on-one support can set up a time to meet with their school counselor. Whether it’s managing stress, coping with anxiety or depression, addressing bullying situations, refining time management skills, or navigating transitions, we’re here to assist our students in building resilience and confidence.

Post-Secondary Planning and Preparation

Our HS counselors provide guidance and support our students so they can make informed decisions about their academic and career goals and prepare for future success. They help our students create Graduation Plans, which serve as individual roadmaps as they work their way through high school. These customized plans show the classes students have already taken, those they are currently enrolled in, and those they still need to graduate.

Every quarter, our HS counselors meet with each student on their caseload in a one-on-one “Synching for Success” session to review graduation plans, discuss progress, set goals, and address any concerns.

College in the High School

Insight PA Cyber Charter has recently partnered with Robert Morris University to offer a College in the High School Program. This dual credit program provides students in 11th and 12th grade the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit by taking specific courses that are taught by Insight PA instructors. This is a tuition-free opportunity for students.
