Work Experience and Diversified Occupation Courses
Students that are interested in earning high school credit AND a paycheck at the same time can explore these courses. Work Experience is offered asynchronously and students can earn credit while working at almost any after school job location. Diversified Occupation is a much more rigorous course that offers students the opportunity to explore their career objectives and skills. Internships and Job Shadowing are also available for students
Alternative Premier Pathway expands students opportunities with industry based learning and classroom instruction to prepare them to enter into a registered apprenticeship. While Insight PA partners with several postsecondary organizations, we work to help align students in 11th and 12th grade with regional opportunities in pre-apprenticeships.
Currently, Insight PA Cyber Charter has pre-apprenticeship partnerships with:
- Association of Builders and Contractors
- Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Advanced Manufacturing
Industry Certifications offer opportunities for students to earn workforce credentials that are recognized by business and industry and provide evidence to an employer that there is an understanding of the field. Each certification aligns to one of the CTE courses and is free of cost to students.
