Dual Enrollment at Penn College of Technology
At Insight PA Cyber Charter School, we’re committed to helping students prepare for life after graduation. One exciting new way we’re doing that is through a partnership with Pennsylvania College of Technology (Penn College). Starting this school year, eligible Insight PA high school students can participate in Penn College’s dual enrollment program, earning real college credit while still in high school.
What Is Dual Enrollment?
Dual enrollment provides high school students with the opportunity to take college-level courses that count toward both their high school diploma and a future college degree. For families, this means:
Why This Matters for Insight PA Students
This partnership is Penn College’s first dual enrollment program with a cyber charter school, opening doors for students statewide. No matter where they live in Pennsylvania, Insight PA students can now access college-level learning opportunities without leaving their online classrooms.
For the 2025–26 school year, Insight PA students who are enrolled in Medical Terminology or Introduction to Business courses will have the opportunity to take courses such as Medical Terminology and Introduction to Business. These courses align with high-demand fields and give students valuable insight into future career pathways. As the program expands, additional courses will be introduced.
Benefits for Families
Participating in dual enrollment through Insight PA and Penn College offers:
- Savings – Tuition-free courses that reduce the overall cost of college.
- Confidence – Early experience with college-level academics in a supportive environment.
- Momentum – Credits earned now can transfer to future degree programs, helping students graduate faster.
- Exploration – The chance to try out subjects that could lead to meaningful careers.
Opening Doors for the Future
At Insight PA, we believe in providing pathways that prepare students for success after high school. By partnering with Penn College, we’re making it possible for students across Pennsylvania to experience college life early, save on tuition, and develop skills for the future, all while remaining enrolled in the flexible and supportive environment of Insight PA.
