Students are not the only family members significantly impacted by the education we provide at Insight PA. Our online K-12 school, tuition-free for families across Pennsylvania, is also meaningful to the parents and learning coaches who support our students in their daily school work. Let’s hear directly from a few of these parents/learning coaches.
Why did you choose to enroll at Insight PA?
Our parents/learning coaches each have their own reasons for choosing Insight PA for their children’s education. We recently asked families to share about their decision to enroll at Insight PA and one theme that emerged from the responses is that Insight PA offers an education free from bullying. Another theme is Insight PA’s ability to respond to individual needs in ways that some brick-and-mortar schools do not. The support teams at Insight PA ensure that every child and every family has an advocate who will listen to their concerns.
One parent cited the unique combination of various programs and an engaging school environment as helping them decide to enroll:

What is your best memory of your time at Insight PA so far?
Students, parents, and learning coaches alike have great memories of the care that Insight
PA’s teachers give to their students. Teachers don’t just provide lessons; they are available to students and families to help them complete their work, explain difficult concepts, and support the learning process.
Another great memory for families, which may surprise people unfamiliar with the education at Insight PA, is the community building within our school. From virtual summer events to in-person gatherings and opportunities to connect online, students make meaningful connections with their peers and learning coaches find camaraderie with their fellow coaches.
What are some of the events or activities you enjoy at Insight PA?
Families love our community engagement events. We hold virtual activities and in-person events throughout the state of Pennsylvania all year long. Our Insight PA families have enjoyed visiting space (virtually, of course), ice skating with our mascot, Barkley the Bulldog, gathering together at museums, and celebrating the end of the school year at amusement parks, family fun centers, and sporting events. These events offer a change of pace from the normal school day, promote community building, and give students time with their peers.
Shannon Baker, mother of six Insight PA students from second through twelfth grade, also cites Career Day as a highlight for her older children.

Our families are as diverse as the state of Pennsylvania. Here are some interesting characteristics of the families we talked to:
- We are a family of 8 with 6 kids and 2 adults, we love the ability to learn wherever.
- We love photography/graphic design and own our own business.
- All of our family plays different instruments including piano, guitar, clarinet, drums, trombone, tenor sax, trumpet, flute.
- We live in a small town and we look out for the neighbors.
- We like to plant flowers and be outside playing and having cookouts.
- We’re a crafty family that loves to take schooling to a different level with more insight into our work.
- We have to give hugs before we go to sleep no matter how skibidi ohio it might seem for my teenage boys.
- We love adventures and discovering new areas.
- We all love Red Robin.
As you can see, our families are all unique, yet they have many commonalities. Insight PA is the school that checks the boxes for each of them. How about you?
